GRAPHIC IDENTITY

The Challenge

Muslim Youth Network (MYN) is a charity founded in August 2001 in response to the social problems endured by Muslim youth in the United Kingdom (UK).

 

Fast forward to 2017, MYN is now a charity providing free and confidential faith and culturally sensitive support for all young people in the UK and as much as the name implies, does not propagate religious or political beliefs — which is a hurdle of our generation, what with rising race, religious and political tensions abound.

MYN needed a way around these ideological barriers whilst still serving their targeted demographics but at the same time, as best as it can, represent the beneficent side of the Islamic faith and that not all are alike as always depicted otherwise.

 

The Outcome

An updated identity system for Muslim Youth Network with a symbol and wordmark that felt natural to the institution, a certain clarity in how elements should be used and also hints of its founding geographical location when specifically needed.
